Bright as a marigold, light as air.
Yellow is the colour of celebration in India, and this Kota Doria saree wears it beautifully. The traditional square-check weave (khat) gives the fabric its cool, airy, translucent look, while the saturated marigold shade glows in daylight.
A wide gold border runs along the pallu and hem, with a matching trim along the blouse edge. It is detailed with small floral accents in red and green. Tiny motifs are scattered across the body, so the saree feels festive but never heavy.
Kota Doria is naturally breathable, which makes this saree comfortable for long functions and warm weather. It drapes crisply, holds pleats well and photographs vividly outdoors.
Why you’ll love it
- Marigold yellow shade: a cheerful, auspicious colour that suits haldi, pujas and festive days
- Signature Kota check weave: the traditional khat texture is airy and cool
- Wide gold border: shimmering detail that adds richness without weight
- Scattered embroidered buttis: delicate motifs that keep the body light and refined
- Featherlight and breathable: comfortable for day events and long celebrations
Perfect for: Haldi ceremonies, pujas, day weddings, Basant Panchami, Navratri, Diwali, baby showers and festive gatherings.
Styling tip: Keep it tonal with a yellow or gold blouse, or contrast it with deep green, magenta or ivory. Add gold jhumkas, a stack of bangles and a bindi for a festive look. For haldi, pearls and fresh flower jewellery look lovely.

- Iron on low to medium heat on the reverse side, avoiding the border
- Store folded in a muslin or cotton cloth
- Kota Doria is handwoven, so slight irregularities in the weave are natural and part of its charm
