Timeless red, featherlight drape.
Red is the colour of celebration, and this Kota Doria saree wears it with grace. The traditional square-check weave (khat) gives the fabric its cool, airy, translucent look, while the vivid red glows against the warm gold border.
A wide gold border runs along the pallu and hem, with a matching trim along the blouse edge. It is detailed with small green floral accents in a lattice pattern. Tiny motifs are scattered across the body, so the saree feels festive and rich without feeling heavy.
Kota Doria is naturally breathable, which makes this saree comfortable for long functions and warm weather. It drapes crisply, holds pleats well and photographs beautifully.
Why you’ll love it
- Classic red shade: an auspicious, timeless colour that suits every skin tone
- Signature Kota check weave: the traditional khat texture is airy and cool
- Wide gold border with green accents: rich detail that adds elegance without weight
- Scattered embroidered buttis: delicate motifs that keep the body light and refined
- Featherlight and breathable: comfortable for day events and long celebrations
Perfect for: Weddings, sangeet, pujas, Durga Puja, Karwa Chauth, Diwali, engagement ceremonies and festive gatherings.
Styling tip: Keep it tonal with a red blouse, or contrast with gold, ivory or deep green. Add gold jhumkas, a bindi, bangles and an embellished potli for a festive look.

Care Instructions
- Dry clean recommended, especially for the first wash, to protect the border work and the deep red colour
- If hand washing, use cold water and a mild detergent, and do not wring or scrub
- Wash separately, as red can bleed onto other fabrics
- Dry in shade, away from direct sunlight
- Iron on low to medium heat on the reverse side, avoiding the border
- Store folded in a muslin or cotton cloth, separate from light-coloured sarees
- Kota Doria is handwoven, so slight irregularities in the weave are natural and part of its charm
