Classic Kota, dressed for the celebration.
Kota Doria is one of India’s most loved handloom weaves, known for its airy texture and the square-check pattern (khat) that gives it a cool, translucent look. This white saree keeps that heritage and adds a modern festive touch.
A wide border of gold sequin work runs along the pallu and hem, finished with a delicate beaded edge. Small red-and-gold embroidered motifs are scattered across the body, so the look stays light and refined instead of heavy.
Kota Doria is naturally breathable and lightweight, so it suits long daytime functions and warm Indian weather. The crisp white base makes the gold and red details stand out, and it photographs beautifully.
Why you’ll love it
- Signature Kota check weave: the traditional khat pattern gives a cool, airy texture
- Gold sequin border: a wide, shimmering border that lifts the whole saree
- Scattered embroidered buttis: small red-and-gold motifs add colour against the white
- Featherlight and breathable: comfortable for long functions and warm weather
- Timeless white base: pairs with almost any blouse colour and jewellery
Perfect for: Weddings, engagement ceremonies, pujas and festive gatherings, family functions, Diwali, Durga Puja and festive office celebrations.
Styling tip: Pair with a gold, red or deep green blouse for contrast, or keep it tonal with white or champagne. Gold jewellery, jhumkas and a potli complete the look.
